If we've emailed your pub

Get Pub Gigs introduces bands to pubs that book live music. To do that we keep business contact details for pubs: the pub's name, the booking contact's name and work email, and notes on what kind of music they book.

  • We get these from public sources such as the pub's own website, and from bands who have played there.
  • We use them only to introduce suitable bands, and we keep a record of replies so we don't email you when you've asked us not to.
  • Want us to stop? Reply "no thanks" to any of our emails or write to [privacy@getpubgigs.co.uk]. We'll keep a short do-not-contact note so it stays that way.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in connecting pubs with bands. [To confirm with legal advice before launch]

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We use a small number of trusted suppliers to run the service, and they can only use your data to do that job for us:

  • Microsoft (Azure): hosting, storage and email. Data is stored in [UK or EU region, to confirm].
  • Anonymous visit counts: [analytics provider, to confirm].

We'd only share anything else if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Register interest: until you join or ask us to remove you, and no longer than [24 months].
  • Contact form messages: [12 months] after we've replied.
  • Scrambled IP addresses: about 20 minutes.
  • Do-not-contact notes for pubs: for as long as we run the service, so we keep respecting them.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

  • Show you the data we hold about you
  • Correct anything that's wrong
  • Delete your data
  • Stop using your data, or object to how we use it
  • Give you your data in a format you can take elsewhere

If you gave consent, you can take it back at any time. Every email we send has a link to unsubscribe. To use any of these rights, email [privacy@getpubgigs.co.uk]. We'll reply within one month.

Not happy with how we've handled your data? You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.

Changes to this notice

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If it's a big change, we'll tell you by email first.
